Stories Can and Do Change the World

Many years ago I began learning folk tales and sharing with young audiences.  Folktales and traditional tales allow for a familiarity and trust as the listener (the participant) co-creates with the teller, with little risk involved.  The emotional connection, at first, gives way to an experience of magic and wonder as the imagination becomes engaged. As a Storyteller, I have seen the power of words and felt the richness of community created by storytelling. As human beings, storytelling is our superpower.
